When Two Beings Move as One

When two living beings connect, something magical happens. This phenomenon can be experienced while riding a horse at sunset, like in the photo of me taken in Morocco earlier this year, or when sharing a dance, such as salsa or bachata, or in the sacred space of intimacy. A non-verbal, symbiotic form of communication emerges. Rather than being expressed in words, it is conveyed through energy, emotion and presence. The two beings begin to move as one.

This is what enables a horse to respond to the slightest cue from its rider. It’s what lets two dancers glide as if guided by a single rhythm. And it’s also what transforms sexual exchange into a union that transcends the physical realm.
